The individuals in your family tree pass down talents that are in your family’s genetic makeup. It is important to carefully observe these people when you visit them because they can inspire you. For example, my grandmother used to draw beautiful faces of woman on crossword puzzles. She never used a canvas or large paper sheets. She would just draw in magazines as a hobby. After I saw that I was inspired to draw for the rest of my life. When I got home I started to sketch ideas and I was taken to another world when I would start drawing. I can remember my first drawings as a kid were pumpkins and spiders. Looking at what your family is good at could be a sign that you might be good in a particular field. It can be difficult to figure out one’s strengths when we are young. I didn’t realize my strengths until my brain was fully developed.

I had an epiphany one day while working on a construction site. I was watching all the workers struggling to lift objects to complete the project while being mistreated by the overseers of the job site. I was treated terribly and looked at in a bad way when I worked construction. My inner voice spoke to me and I began to ask myself, ”What am I doing here”? I had to start thinking of other alternatives to do so that I wouldn’t have to be in this type of situation for much longer. Being able to listen to your inner gut is very important. When in doubt, schooling can help you train for careers in many opportunities that are already available in society and you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
